How to Survive Burnout Using Herbs

Feeling burnt out lately? I am in one of those moments right now. It's tough, right? But don't worry, I've got some natural remedies that might help.

Herbs to the Rescue:

  • Lemon balm: Think of it as nature's chill pill. It helps calm your mind, lift your mood, and ease anxiety, which can be a major factor in burnout.
  • Oatstraw: This little guy is like a soothing blanket for your nervous system. It can help you relax and unwind.
  • Nettle: Imagine nettle as a vitamin boost. Often our digestion is off during times off burnout and nettle is packed with vitamins and minerals to help support your body.

Lifestyle Changes to Boost Your Energy:

  • Sleep: Aim for 7-8 hours a night. Trust me, your body (and your mood) will thank you.
  • Eat Right: Fuel your body with easy nourishing meals. If making a salad is easy then do that. If ordering takeout is easy, then do that. This is not a place where you want to add more stress in your life
  • Move It: Even a short walk or standing outside can do wonders for your mood and energy levels. It takes a ton of mental gymnastics to convince myself to step outside when I need to get 100 things done, but trust me, it helps!
  • Take Breaks: Don't burn yourself out by working non-stop. Schedule several short breaks throughout your day.

Tea Time for Recovery:

Here's a simple tea recipe to try:

  • Ingredients:
    • 1 tsp lemon balm,
    • 1 tsp oatstraw,
    • 1 tsp nettle,
    • 16-24 oz  hot water
  • Instructions:
    • Steep overnight, strain, and enjoy! The longer you steep these herbs the more benefits you get to enjoy.
